What Works in Fundraising: Charlotte

KTSY: From Financial Frustration to Fruition

The Problem “Change or die.” Caught in the middle of the economic financial crisis, KTSY found themselves in a time of frustration and desperation. The station had recently decided to expand their ministry and its reach but now saw those dreams crumbling under the weight of the struggling economy. Christian Listener-Supported Radio Development Outlook Survey Period Extended

COPPELL, TEXAS—Christian listener-supported radio stations now have another week to join The Listener Supported Radio Development Outlook study. With a new final survey deadline of Friday, February 7, station leaders may contribute their observations and analytics and be eligible to receive the free Christian Listener Supported Radio Development Outlook report. “Response for the survey has been stronger and greater than we originally expected. Over 120 originating radio stations—representing almost 1,000 total broadcast facilities—already responded to the survey,” said Paul Martin, President of Advocace. David Hollenbaugh Joins Advocace

COPPELL, TX – January 6, 2014 –Advocace, the development and management consulting firm for Christian organizations, has hired former Senior Development Director for Grove City College, David Hollenbaugh, as its newest Senior Consultant. Six Parts of a Solicitation Call

At some point your solicitation calls are supposed to lead you to the “ask”. Many stop short of this part because they forget, because it wasn’t planned ahead of time, or because they are afraid. Whatever the reason when the “ask” isn’t purposed into your visits, you are going to miss out on opportunities, relationships that last, and investments into your organization. So, how can you help your team master this step? Here are the six parts of a solicitation call. When your team is prepared and they understand their part, they should be able to react to any obstacles that may surface during the call. 1. Know your prospect so you can begin and lead the conversation. Get your contact to talk about themselves and the things that they are interested in. 2.
